Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

The Manila Zoo doesn’t look like a zoo. It’s a ruin.
It’s a testament to our government’s financial and intellectual poverty, which translates to the general poverty of our people.
The animals in the Manila Zoo look away when you look at them. They hide when you try taking pictures of them. It’s depressing. Animals in a zoo are supposed to be lively but in the Manila Zoo they’re listless. It’s as if they’re waging a silent protest against humanity, which once reveled in their captivity, and has now abandoned them after the excitement (and resources) wore off.
I’d rather have the zoo closed and turned to a mall. It’s better than seeing animals locked in appalling conditions.

My lessons are becoming harder, my subjects more taxing. My last semester is getting toxic, and it appears that it would get even more.
I may no longer be able to update the blog regularly. I need to study a lot and devote more time for group works and other activities.
Resilience
We had an activity last time in my STS class where we asked to enumerate ways on how we can become resilient to change. The times we are living in are times where the rate of change is rapid and getting more rapid still.
I later found answers from the May-June 2009 issue of Foreign Policy magazine. Amazingly, half of my answers were similar to those I contributed in the group activity (does this suggest that I think the same way as they do?)
